Once you have installed the app you can create your first account; when you create an account you agree to our privacy policy, terms of use and acceptable use policy.
The app is local-first which means that when you create an account your secrets are stored on your device.
To start creating an account open the app which will show the launch page.
Launch
Tap Create account to begin.
Accept Responsibility
During account creation you need to create a primary password for the account. You are responsible for your account password and must keep it safe.
If you forget your account password it is impossible to recover your secrets.
Please read the information on this screen carefully and understand your responsibilities. When you want to proceed, tap the switch to accept responsibility and then tap the Next button.
Account Name
Choose a name for the account that allows you to easily identify it; you could use your nickname or simply Personal for your personal secrets.
Multiple accounts let us separate secrets for different purposes, for example, if you are storing secrets on behalf of somebody else (eg: a client) using a different account is a good idea.
Choose Password
After you have accepted responsibility you will need to choose an account password. You can either use a strong random passphrase or you can choose your own password, if you choose your own password it must be of excellent strength to continue.
Never share your account password with anybody; our support team will never ask for your account password. You must keep it private and safe.
Tap next once you are happy with the account password you have chosen; you will need to confirm the password on the next screen.
Confirm Password
To complete creating the new account you must confirm the account password; once you have entered the account password tap the Create account button to complete account creation.
After you have confirmed the password your new account will be created and you will be guided through optional account setup steps.
